Wildlife of the World is a series of books for 8 to 13 year olds by Welsh wildlife photographer and conservationist Hugh Lansdown. Each book in the series is filled with Hugh's superb photos of animal life from a particular country or region of the world, and also includes links to related on-line videos, slide-shows and sound clips. Sweden in Winter

Hugh has just returned from a very interesting week exploring central Sweden. There's not a lot of wildlife about in February, with most animals dormant or hibernating, but he saw some lovely birds-of-prey including golden and white-tailed eagles, a superb little hawk owl and the beautiful male goshawk below with his glaring red eyes!.
